LEICESTER- The fairytale continues for the Premier League champions as they eliminated Sevilla from the Champions League to progress to the quarter finals.

It was Craig Shakespeare’s first Champions League game in charge of the Foxes after Ranieri was sacked following the 2-1 defeat in Sevilla three weeks ago.

The atmosphere before kick-off was amazing, with the Leicester fans setting up some beautiful choreography to get the team pumped up even more.

Leicester started off the game with lots of energy and played very fast, attacking the Sevilla defence making it hard for them to get a hold of the game.

Sevilla had a couple half-chances, but nothing really for the Foxes to worry about. The game was 1-0 at halftime.

The Europa League champions’ started off the second half well, when Escudero’s shot hit the crossbar.

The game went from bad to worse for Sevilla when Samir Nasri picked up his second yellow card and was sent off after an altercation off the ball with Jamie Vardy. 10-men Sevilla had even more work to do to get back into the game.

Could it get any worse for Sevilla? After being awarded a penalty, Steven N’Zonzi failed to convert from the spot to put the game into extra-time.

Sevilla piled on the pressure late on, while Leicester played on the counter-attack. Vardy had a good chance to seal the win but his shot went over the crossbar.
