COLUMBUS- Toronto FC go in search of their second win of the season as they travel to Columbus to take on the conference leaders this Saturday.
This is the first of three meetings between the two sides as not only do they battle for the league, they battle for the annual Trillium Cup.
Toronto are unbeaten against Columbus since October 2015 when they lost 2-0 at home. The last meeting between the teams finished 3-0 for the Reds’.
Columbus sit top of the Eastern Conference as things stand, but are coming off a 1-0 loss in Chicago. Toronto are 9th in the conference and are coming off two consecutive ties, but remain unbeaten.
Players to watch for Toronto will be Sebastian Giovinco and Jozy Altidore up front who will be dangerous. For Columbus, Justin Meram has started the season off very well and Higuain could return for the Crew.
Injuries for Columbus see Mensah, Afful, Duka, Swanson, and Sauro doubtful for the game. Toronto will be without Drew Moor who has an irregular heartbeat, and Clint Irwin is still out with a hamstring problem.
Columbus will be looking to remain top of the conference and Toronto will be looking to get their season going.
The game will be televised on TSN and kick off is at 8:00pm EST.
