TORONTO- The league leaders host Portland Timbers this Saturday at BMO Field as the Reds look to bounce back after last weekends tie.
Portland are in good form after beating LA Galaxy 3-1 at home last weekend while TFC tied 1-1 away against last place DC United.
Toronto remain unbeaten at home this season winning eight of their last nine games. Portland have never won at BMO Field; TFC have won three of the four meetings between the two sides.
The Timbers are 5th place in the Western Conference while Toronto are top of the East and top of the whole MLS.
Toronto will be without Steven Beitashour, Oyvind Alseth, Benoit Cheyrou and Justin Morrow is doubtful. Faenando Adi and Liam Ridgewell are questionable for the Timbers after picking up knocks last weekend but Caleb Porter will do everything to have his main striker starting north of the border.
Sebastian Giovinco is always a key player for Toronto and coming off a brace in their last home game against New York City, the Atomic Ant will be looking to get the Toronto fans off their seats once again.
Diego Valeri is Portland’s best player; all the play goes through him. He can score goals, assist goals, set up goals; he can do mostly everything. With 12 goals and six assists, the Argentine will be a huge danger man along with Faenando Adi.
Kickoff is at 6:00pm EST and the game will be televised on TSN 2.
