CHELSEA – The Premier League champions were held to a 0-0 draw today at Stamford Bridge against Leicester City.
Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley were out of the squad while Morata kept his place in the team.
Okazaki had an early chance for the Foxes but his shot went just over the bar.
Cahill was substituted in the first half with an injury and was replaced by Andreas Christensen.
Leicester continued to impress in the first half. Ndidi’s header was on its way into the bottom corner but Courtois made a great save.
Chelsea struggled to create chances in the first half; Fabregas came close but was denied by Kasper Schmeichel.
The score was 0-0 at halftime.
Chelsea came out in the second half and played much better. Leicester were struggling to get out of their own half.
The game only got harder for Leicester when Ben Chilwell received his second yellow card and was shown a red.
Despite being a man up for 20 minutes, Chelsea were unable to get on the scoresheet. The game finished 0-0 and the draw is Chelsea’s third straight goalless draw in all competitions.
Chelsea are up to 47 points while Leicester City remain 8th with 31 points.
