Last year’s finalist’s host PSG in titanic clash to open the group stage

Liverpool are set to host PSG on Tuesday evening as the 2018/19 Champions League season gets underway.

The two club’s will be looking to get points on the board before meeting Napoli and Red Star Belgrade.

How’d each team do last season?

Liverpool are coming into this season after making the final last year where they faced defeat to Real Madrid in Kiev.

PSG were eliminated in the round of 16 to the eventual champions Real Madrid.

Who’s in better form?

Liverpool are on a five-game winning run in the league after winning 2-1 away to Spurs on the weekend and have scored 11 goals so far this year.

PSG have also won five games in a row in the league, scoring 17 goals and have conceded four. They come into the game after winning 4-0 last weekend against Saint Etienne.

Head to head?

This is the first meeting between the two sides.

Team news?

Liverpool: Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Divock Origi, and Dom Solanke are out injured. Roberto Firmino is a doubt after his eye injury against Spurs.

PSG: Dani Alves and Layvin Kurzawa are out while Gianluigi Buffon and Marco Verratti are suspended.

Kick off is at 3 p.m. EST. on Tues. Sept. 18 at Anfield. The game can be streamed in Canada on DAZN with a subscription and will be televised in the U.K. on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport 4K.
