League positions?

Bayern come into this weekend in second with 48 points, but are now only three points behind Borussia Dortmund after the league leaders slipped up again last weekend. A win would see them go joint first until Dortmund face Leverkusen on Sunday.

Berlin are ninth with 32 points in 22 games and are just three points back of Wolfsburg who sit sixth.

Who’s in better form?

The German champions have lost once in 15 games since the defeat in Dortmund and are coming off a 0-0 tie with Liverpool at Anfield.

Hertha have one win in five games after a 1-1 tie with Werder Bremen and have scored six goals in the last two away games.

Head-to-head?

Bayern won 3-2 in the DFB Pokal early this month which was its first win in three against Berlin. Last time the sides met at the Allianz Arena it finished in a goalless tie.
