Frank de Boer is still searching for his first win at home, this season, a place that was a fortress in 2018.

Atlanta (1-3-2) host the Colorado Rapids on Saturday and are coming off a 2-1 defeat at home against FC Dallas, which sees them sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, level on points with last year’s Supporters’ Shield winners New York Red Bulls.

Colorado (0-6-2) are also struggling; winless in eight games, the Rapids have last all four of their away games after a big 4-1 defeat to the Chicago Fire last weekend.

The sides have met twice with Atlanta winning both games; 3-0 in Colorado last season and a 1-0 win at home back in 2017.

Team news

The champions will be without Mikey Ambrose, Kevin Kratz, George Bello, Eric Remedi, and Brandon Vazquez, who round up a long injury list. Pity Martinez had to settle for a place on the bench last week while Ezequiel Barco has been impressing lately.

The Rapids are missing Kortne Ford who is a long-term injury, while U.S. international Kellyn Acosta was subbed off last week and is unlikely to feature on Saturday.

Kickoff is at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The game will be streamed in Canada on DAZN, and will be televised in the U.S. on Altitude and FOX Sports Southeast.
