The Whitecaps are looking for a second win of the season as they head to Denver to meet the Colorado Rapids on Friday night.

Vancouver (1-5-3) have one win in nine games and are coming off a 1-1 tie with the Philadelphia Union.

Colorado (0-7-2) have lost seven of their first nine MLS games this season after a 1-0 road loss to Atlanta United.

A loss on Friday night would mean the Rapids will have the worst start to a MLS season after 10 games, currently held by Toronto FC.

The last time they met it finished 1-0 for Colorado. Vancouver come into the fixture having won two and tied once.

Team news

Kortne Ford is the lone injury for the hosts, while head coach Anthony Hudson was sacked during the week being replaced by Conor Casey.

Jasser Khemiri is out while Yordy Reyna is also injured now. Fredy Montero or Joaquin Ardaiz could start in place of him, but Marc dos Santos publicly criticized Ardaiz in the media about work ethic which could see him likely start from the bench.

Kickoff is at 9 p.m. on Friday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver. The game will be televised in Canada on TSN 1/3 and in the U.S. on Altitude.
