The New York Red Bulls are still looking to kick start their season, and it doesn’t get any easier with high-flying L.A. Galaxy coming to town on Saturday afternoon.
New York (2-4-2) are currently sitting ninth in the East with eight points and have one win in six games after a 1-0 home win over FC Cincinnati thanks to Connor Lade’s goal.
L.A. Galaxy (7-1-1) are second right now with 22 points and a win would see them go first in the West and Supporters’ Shield until LAFC next play.
They come into Saturday having won 2-1 at home to Real Salt Lake last weekend when Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the winner.
The last time the sides met it finished 3-2 for the Red Bulls in California as a late Kaku penalty sealed the win.
In 2017 when the sides faced, the Galaxy won 3-1 on the road at Red Bull Arena.
Team news
