LAFC welcome the Chicago Fire to California on Saturday night as Bob Bradley’s team will be hoping yet another win at home.
The hosts are on 23 points and sit top of the Supporters’ Shield; one point above L.A. Galaxy. They’ve won five in a row at home and are coming off a 1-1 tie with the Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field.
Chicago (2-4-3) are eighth in the East with nine points but have lost their last two outings; both 1-0 defeats to NYCFC and Montreal Impact.
The sides have met once with Chicago beating LAFC (7-1-2) 3-1 at home last season as Djordje Mihailovic, Nemanja Nikolic, and Aleksandar Katai scoring.
Team news
Bradley’s team will be without Rodolfo Zelaya, Alejandro Guido, Adama Diomande, Steven Beitashour, and Andre Horta who are sidelined.
Veljko Paunovic is missing Andre Reynolds II, Raheem Edwards, and Marcelo. Fabian Herbers is doubtful with a groin injury. It’s possible that new signing Francisco Calvo could be in the lineup after being traded from Minnesota United.
Kickoff is at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night at the Banc of California Stadium in L.A. The game will be streamed in Canada on DAZN, and in the U.S. on KVMD and YouTubeTV in the L.A. region.
