The Sounders will be hoping to keep pace with the top two as they head to Minnesota this Saturday for their first trip to Allianz Field.

Seattle (5-1-3) are third in the West with 18 points, four behind second-place L.A. Galaxy and five behind leaders LAFC. They come into the game with one loss in nine and a 1-1 tie with the Supporters’ Shield leaders.

Minnesota (4-3-2) have won twice in seven games after a 1-0 win over D.C. United and have kept two clean sheets in a row. They sit sixth in the West with 14 points.

Coming into the game, Seattle have won all four meetings; most recently a 2-1 win in Minnesota after two 90th-minute goals from Nicolas Lodeiro and Will Bruin.

Team news

Chase Gasper (hamstring) and Darwin Quintero (ankle) are both questionable for the Loons coming into the game.

Gustav Svensson is out injured while Bruin, Raul Ruidiaz, Chad Marshall, and Nouhou Tolo are doubtful. Kelvin Leerdam is suspended and Lodeiro is a booking away from suspension due to yellow card accumulation.

Kickoff is at 8 p.m. on Saturday evening at Allianz Field. The game will be shown in Canada on DAZN, and in the U.S. on JOEtv, FOX Sports North, and YouTubeTV in the Seattle region.
