The ‘Quakes host Cincinnati looking for third home win in a row

The ‘Quakes host FC Cincinnati on Saturday night as they will be hoping to extend their unbeaten streak.

San Jose (2-5-2) are 10th in the West with eight points and will go seventh with a win depending on other results.

They’re unbeaten in three with one win and two ties after stalemates with FC Dallas and Seattle Sounders, and have won their last two home games.

Cincinnati (2-6-2) are winless in six games and have lost four in a row after a 2-0 defeat against the Philadelphia Union.

This is the first meeting between the two teams and the only one this season.

Matias Almeyda’s side is fresh with no injuries, but Tommy Thompson is a booking away from suspension.

The visitors will be without Jimmy McLaughlin while Greg Garza, Faenando Adi, and Kenny Saief are doubtful. Kendall Waston and Leandro Bertone are both one yellow card away from suspensions.

Kickoff is at 10 p.m. on Saturday night at Avaya Stadium. The game will be streamed in Canada on DAZN, and in the U.S. on Star64, NBC Sports California, and FloFC in the Cincinnati region.
