New England will be hoping to put an end to their disastrous start to the season when they meet the Chicago Fire on Wednesday evening.

The Revs are bottom of the East with eight points and have one win in six games after a 6-1 loss against the Philadelphia Union. New England (2-7-2) are coming into the game having conceded 10 goals in their last two games.

Chicago (2-4-4) are sitting 10th with 10 points, but could go seventh with a win. The Fire are winless coming into the game in their last three, but got a big road point on the weekend against LAFC.

The Revs are winless in six against Wednesday’s opposition, and they battled out to two ties in 2018.

The last time New England picked up a win in Illinois was back in 2013.

Team news

Raheem Edwards and Andre Reynolds II are both out for the Fire with lengthy injuries. Marcelo is doubtful and Bastian Schweinsteiger is a booking away from suspension.

Brad Friedel’s team will be without defender Antonio Delamea, and Isaac Angking who are both injured.

Kickoff is at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Ill. The game will be streamed in Canada on DAZN, and in the U.S. on NBC Sports Boston.
