Montreal are back on the road as they head south to meet the Red Bulls on Wednesday who seem to have found their stride after a rough start.

New York (3-4-2) are now up to eighth in the East with 11 points and have won two consecutive games at home against FC Cincinnati and most recently a 3-2 win over the L.A. Galaxy.

Montreal (5-4-2) are in third after a good start to the season with 17 points, but are coming into the game after losing 2-0 at home to NYCFC.

The teams last met in 2018 when the Impact were 3-0 winners at home. Remi Garde’s side have faced heavy defeats at Red Bull Arena lately, losing their last two trips 3-0 and 4-1.

Team news

Florian Valot is out with a torn ACL, while Bradley Wright-Phillips missed out against the Galaxy and is questionable. Kaku is back from suspension after his red card against Sporting KC.

Ignacio Piatti is still out injured after missing the last eight games and Ken Krolicki is a long-term absentee for the visitors.

Kickoff is at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night at Red Bull Arena. The game will be televised in Canada on TVAS, and in the U.S. on MSG and online on ESPN+.
