Liverpool and Tottenham both pulled off miracle comebacks this week to find themselves in the 2019 Champions League Final.

For the first time and only time since 2009, it will be an all-English affair. Manchester United defeated Chelsea 10 years ago in a penalty shootout.

The Reds lost 3-0 in the first leg at Camp Nou, but won 4-0 in the second leg at Anfield on Tuesday to reach a second consecutive final.

Jurgen Klopp’s side lost 3-1 to Real Madrid in last season’s final and previously won the tournament in 2005 when they came back to beat AC Milan on penalties.

They also competed in the 2007 final which saw them rematch with the Italians, but failed to come out on top that time round.

This year’s final will be Tottenham’s first-ever UEFA final after a second half comeback against Ajax on Wednesday.

They trailed 3-0 on aggregate and 2-0 on the night in Amsterdam and a Lucas Moura hat trick summed up a season that has been full of comebacks in the Champions League.

The final will take place on Sat. June 1 at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid, home of Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
