The Crew face second L.A. side in a week as they welcome LAFC

LAFC will travel to Ohio to meet the Crew for the first time at MAPFRE Stadium on Saturday evening.

Columbus (5-6-1) are currently fifth in the East with 16 points; four back of the Montreal Impact and snapped a five-game losing run on Wednesday with a 3-1 win over L.A. Galaxy with goals coming from Gyasi Zardes, Federico Higuain, and Hector Jimenez.

LAFC (7-1-3) are top of the Supporters’ Shield with 24 points and are two above their rivals.

Bob Bradley’s side have tied their last two games, most recently a goalless tie at home to the Chicago Fire.

The sides have met once which came last season at the Banc of California Stadium with goals coming from Laurent Ciman and Adama Diomande.

Team news

Harrison Afful is missing with a broken jaw, while Milton Valenzuela remains out with an ACL injury. David Guzman just signed from Portland and made his debut in the win on Wednesday.

Rodolfo Zelaya and Alejandro Guido are the two absentees for the visitors coming into the game.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus. The game will be streamed in Canada on DAZN, and will be shown in the U.S. on FOX Sports Ohio and YouTubeTV in the L.A. region.
