LAFC meet Dallas as they aim to stay unbeaten at home

High-flying LAFC host FC Dallas on Thursday night as they will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Supporters’ Shield.

LAFC (8-1-3) have 27 points and are five clear of their rivals L.A. Galaxy. Coming into Thursday, Bob Bradley’s side are unbeaten at home with five wins and a tie and are coming off a 3-0 road win over Columbus with late goals from Adama Diomande and Carlos Vela.

Dallas (5-4-2) sit on 17 points with two wins and three losses away from home. The Texas-based club are winless in three games having lost their last two; most recently a 3-1 loss at home to the New York Red Bulls.

The sides have met twice; playing out to a 1-1 tie in L.A., while Dallas won 2-1 at home with goals from Roland Lamah and Reto Ziegler.

Team news

Danilo Silva, Adrien Perez, and Alejandro Guido remain sidelined for LAFC, while Eduard Atuesta is a yellow card away from suspension.

The visitors will be without Paxton Pomykal, Francis Atuahene, Cristian Colman, and Carlos Gruezo. Michael Barrios is back from suspension while goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez is a booking away from suspension.

Kickoff is at 10 p.m. on Thursday night at the Banc of California Stadium. The game will be streamed in Canada on DAZN, and will be shown in the U.S. on ESPN2.
