Alejandro Pozuelo had a few chances but was unable to capitalize early on in the half.

Jordan Hamilton came closest in the first half when his left-footed shot rung off the crossbar.

The Spaniard had a free kick on the stroke of halftime but it was well saved by Hamid as the side were level at the break.

Justin Morrow replaced former D.C. United midfielder Nick DeLeon heading into the second half.

Olsen made two quick changes just a minute into the second interval when Rooney and Acosta both came into the fray.

The Reds dominated the majority of the half, pinning D.C. back and had plenty of chances, but Hamid stood strong for the visitors to deny them of a goal.

Substitute Terrence Boyd had a late chance in the 94th minute but Hamid came up big once again to see D.C. head home with a point.
