Minnesota and Columbus meet with both sides looking to get into form

Minnesota take on the Columbus Crew at home on Saturday as both teams will be hoping to end their poor form.

The Loons have won once in their last six games after a 2-0 loss away to the Chicago Fire. Minnesota (4-4-3) come into the game unbeaten at home with one win and three ties.

Columbus (5-7-1) have lost six of their last seven games after their 3-0 defeat at home to Supporters’ Shield leaders LAFC last weekend. The Crew have one win in five games away from home so far this season.

The last meeting between the teams finished 3-2 for the Crew thanks to three goals from American forward Gyasi Zardes.

When the sides last met in Minnesota, Columbus also won, 1-0.

Team news

Chase Gasper is the lone injury for the Loons while Darwin Quintero is questionable coming into the game.

Caleb porter is missing Milton Valenzuela and Harrison Afful who are out injured, David Guzman made his first start against LAFC, while new signing David Accam will join Nashville at the end of the 2019 season.

Kickoff is at 8 p.m. on Saturday evening at Allianz Field. The game will be streamed in Canada on DAZN, and will be shown in the U.S. on SportsTime Ohio and FOX Sports North Plus.
