Cavalry FC’s winning run sees them head into their Canadian Championship first round second leg with a 2-0 lead over Pacific FC.

The Calgary-based side saw goals from Dominick Zator and Oliver Minatel last Wednesday which gave them the advantage for this week’s game.

Tommy Wheeldon Jr.’s side have four wins from four games in the Canadian Premier League this season and are coming off a 1-0 win over FC Edmonton courtesy of a goal on the stroke of halftime from Jordan Brown.

Pacific dropped a 2-0 lead at Westhills Stadium this past weekend against York 9 FC; Marcus Haber and Ben Fisk were on the scoresheet for the west coast side.

Michael Silberbauer’s side sit fourth in the CPL after playing five games.

The winner will meet Hamilton’s Forge FC in the second round with the first leg on June 4 before the return leg on June 12.
