York 9 FC will take on Premiere Ligue de soccer du Quebec (PLSQ) side AS Blainville in their home opener for a spot in the second round of the Canadian Championship.

The side from the Greater Toronto Area came from 2-0 down on the weekend when they trekked out west to meet Pacific FC to tie 2-2. Rodrigo Gattas and an own goal from Pacific’s Ryan McCurdy helped York pick up a point.

Jim Brennan’s side remain winless in the Canadian Premier League after three games heading into Wednesday’s fixture with Blainville.

The Quebec side faced a 1-0 loss on the weekend against FC Lanaudiere and have one win and one loss after two games in the PLSQ this season so far.

The winner of the second leg will meet Hamilton’s Forge FC in the second round, who Y9 will face this coming weekend.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m. ET. on Wednesday at York Lions Stadium. The game will be shown in Canada on onesoccer.ca.
