After picking up their first win of the season, the Rapids meet Columbus at home looking to build momentum on Saturday night.
Colorado (1-9-2) are bottom of he West with five points and are coming off their 1-0 win away to the L.A. Galaxy thanks to Andre Shinyashiki’s late goal. The Rapids are winless at home in six games with four losses and two ties.
Columbus (5-8-1) sit eighth in the East with 16 points, one behind Toronto FC. They lost their last outing with a 1-0 defeat to Minnesota which means they’ve lost two in a row.
In 2018 the Crew took a 2-0 win at home and have traveled to Colorado seven times since 2010 with one win, one tie, and five losses.
The Rapids will be without Kortne Ford who is missing with a knee injury and is the lone absentee.
Milton Valenzuela and Harrison Afful are both out injured while Zach Steffen and Waylon Francis are both doubts..
Kickoff is at 9 p.m. ET. on Saturday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The game will be televised in Canada on TSN 1, and in the U.S. on Altitude and SportsTime Ohio.
