Seattle travel to face Sporting KC who will be without a total of 11 first team players when the sides meet on Sunday.

Sporting KC (2-4-5) are 11th in the West with 11 points and are winless in nine games across all competitions since their 7-1 win over Montreal. They head into this weekend after a 1-1 tie with Vancouver and have conceded 15 goals in their last five home games.

Seattle (7-1-5) sit second with 26 points, one above L.A. Galaxy and are unbeaten in six games with two wins and four ties after a goalless stalemate with high-flying Philadelphia Union. The Sounders come into the game winless in their last four away games.

Brian Schmetzer’s side won at home last season with a 3-1 victory while they tied 2-2 in Kansas later on in the season. Seattle have three wins in eight trips to Children’s Mercy Park.

The long injury list for Peter Vermes’ side sees Erik Hurtado (knee), Jaylin Lindsey (meniscus), Rodney Wallace (hip), Roger Espinoza (knee), Gerso Fernandes (wrist), Andreu Fontas (calf), Wan Kuzain (ankle), Graham Zusi (oblique), Jimmy Medranda (knee), and Daniel Salloi (groin) all missing. To make it worse, Krisztian Nemeth is missing after his red card last game.

Seattle are without Gustav Svensson, Victor Rodriguez, and Jordan Morris who are all suffering from hamstring injuries.

Kickoff is at 6 p.m. ET. on Sunday evening at Children’s Mercy Park. The game will be streamed in Canada on DAZN, and will be televised in the U.S. on FS1 and FOX Deportes.
