Real Salt Lake are heading north to Canada when they will meet the Montreal Impact, hoping to keep their winning run alive.

RSL (6-6-1) have won three in a row after wins against the last two MLS Cup champions, Toronto FC and most recently Atlanta United. Jefferson Savarino’s 94th minute winner against the Five Stripes last weekend gave them a 2-1 win.

A win on Wednesday could see Mike Petke’s team climb to fourth, but a loss could result in them falling to ninth.

Montreal (6-6-3) sit fourth in the Eastern Conference with 21 points and could go second with a win. They come off a 4-2 loss away to high-flying LAFC and are winless in three games.

The Impact have two wins in five games against RSL which both came at home. In 2018 when they faced in Utah it ended in a 1-1 tie.

Team news

Ignacio Piatti started against LAFC and is fully fit from his injury, new signing Omar Browne and Clement Bayiha are sidelined through injuries. Samuel Piette is back from his suspension.

Jordan Allen and Tony Beltran remain out injured for RSL, Kyle Beckerman is probable despite missing the win over Atlanta, and Damir Kreilach is a booking away from suspension.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. EST. on Wednesday night at Stade Saputo. The game will be televised in Canada on TVAS and TSN 5.
