NYCFC travel to face the struggling Columbus Crew

Columbus Crew will be hoping to get back to winning ways on Saturday as they host New York City FC.

Caleb Porter’s side are ninth in the East right now and have one win in nine games with eight losses in that run after a 3-2 defeat against the Colorado Rapids.

NYCFC (4-1-7) are unbeaten in eight games with four wins and four ties after their 1-1 stalemate with Chicago.

Columbus (5-9-1) and the Blues have two wins each in the last four meetings, and NYCFC have one win in six at MAPFRE Stadium.

The Crew will be without Milton Valenzuela and Harrison Afful who remain injured, Waylon Francis is questionable and Zach Steffen returned to the lineup for the win over the Rapids.

Domenec Torrent’s side have no reported injuries coming into the game, but Maxime Chanot is a booking away from suspension.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. EST. on Saturday evening at MAPFRE Stadium. The game will be televised in Canada on TSN 2, and in the U.S. on SportsTime Ohio and YEStv.
