Leverkusen host Bayern in top of the table clash

Bayer Leverkusen will be hoping they can extend their lead at the top of the table on Saturday when they host champions Bayern Munich.

Leverkusen are first in the league with 28 points and have three wins and two draws at home so far.

They are unbeaten in the league with eight wins and four draws after their 4-0 win away from home against Koln.

Bayern Munich are unbeaten in 18 games and are coming off a 2-1 win against Wolfsburg on Wednesday.

The Bavarians are second with 27 points and have four wins in six games away from home.

In 23 meetings, Bayern have 13 wins while Leverkusen have five. When they last faced it was a 4-2 Bayern win in the DFB Pokal Final in July.

The hosts are missing Charles Aranguiz, Paulinho, Santiago Arias and Sven Bender who are injured.

Bayern will be without Javi Martinez and Leon Goretzka who are sidelined with injuries.

Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. EST. on Saturday afternoon at the BayArena. The game will be shown in Canada on Sportsnet World.
