Leverkusen look to redeem themselves against struggling Frankfurt

Bayer Leverkusen will be hoping they can redeem themselves on Saturday when they travel to face a struggling Eintracht Frankfurt side.

The visitors had an 11-game unbeaten run snapped when they fell 2-1 at home to Bayern Munich before the winter break.

They sit second in the league with 28 points and have five wins and two draws away from home.

Frankfurt are down in ninth with 17 points and come into the game with one win and five draws at home this season.

The Eagles have just one win in 10 outings after they picked up a 2-0 win against Augsburg.

In the last 18 meetings, Leverkusen have 11 wins while Frankfurt have six. The last time they met was a 4-0 win for Leverkusen on March 7, and they have four wins in nine trips to Frankfurt.

The hosts are missing Ragnar Ache and Jetro Willems who are injured while Jetro Willems is suspended.

Leverkusen will be without Charles Aranguiz, Lars and Sven Bender, Paulinho, Santiago Arias and Exequiel Palacios who are all sidelined.

Kickoff is at 9:30 a.m. EST. on Saturday morning at the Deutsche Bank Park. The game will be shown in Canada on Sportsnet.
