Dortmund host Frankfurt in crucial top four battle

Borussia Dortmund are in desperate need of a win on Saturday when they face top four rivals Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Black and Yellow have one win in four games following their 2-2 draw with Koln, and sit fifth in the table with 43 points and have seven wins in 12 home games this season.

Frankfurt are right above them with 47 points and have five wins, five draws and three losses on the road.

The Eagles have won on of their last four outings and are coming off a 5-2 win over Union Berlin.

In the last 22 meetings, Dortmund have 13 wins while Frankfurt have four, and when they last faced it was a 1-1 draw in December. The Black and Yellow have won 10 in a row at home since 2011.

The hosts are missing Axel Witsel, Dan-Axel Zagadou, Jadon Sancho, Marcel Schmelzer, Marco Reus, Mateu Morey, Raphael Guerreiro and Youssoufa Moukoko.

Frankfurt will be without Erik Durm, Jabez Makanda, Almamy Toure and Martin Hinteregger who are injured while Makoto Hasebe is suspended.

Kickoff is at 9:30 a.m. EDT. on Saturday morning at the Signal Iduna Park. The game will be shown in Canada on Sportsnet.
