Dortmund begin Bundesliga campaign when they take on Frankfurt

Borussia Dortmund will welcome Eintracht Frankfurt to the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday as they kick start their Bundesliga season.

The Black and Yellow have three wins from five outings and are coming off a 3-0 win over Wehen thanks to a hat-trick from Erling Haaland.

Frankfurt come into the game with three wins in six games after they were upset in the first round of the DFB Pokal when they lost 2-0 to third division side SV Waldhof.

In 23 meetings, Dortmund have 13 wins while Frankfurt have five. The last time they met was a 2-1 win for the Eagles while Dortmund have one win in five meetings.

Marco Rose will be without Dan-Axel Zagadou, Emre Can, Julian Brandt, Mateu Morey, Mats Hummels, Thomas Meunier and Raphael Guerreiro for his first league game in charge.

Filip Kostic and Almamy Toure are both missing for Frankfurt coming into the game.

Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. EDT. on Saturday afternoon at the Signal Iduna Park. The game will be shown in Canada on Sportsnet World.
