Bayern host Benfica hoping to advance to knockout round

Benfica vs. Bayern Munich: Five players to watch in CL clash

Bayern Munich will be looking to book their spot in the knockout stage of the Champions League on Tuesday when they host Benfica.

The Bavarians have won all three group games and have four wins in five following a 5-2 win against Union Berlin.

Benfica are second with four points, one above Barcelona and have one win in four after a 1-1 draw with Estoril.

Bayern won the meeting a couple weeks ago 4-0 in Portugal, and have 11 wins and two draws in 13 home games against Portuguese sides, while Benfica have two wins in 26 trips to Germany.

The hosts are missing Eric Choupo-Moting, Leon Goretzka and Lucas Hernandez, while Andre Almeida, Haris Seferovic and Valentino Lazaro are out for Benfica.

Kickoff is at 4 p.m. EDT. on Tuesday afternoon at the Allianz Arena. The game will be shown in Canada on DAZN.
