RB Leipzig travel to the nation’s capital for meeting with Union Berlin

RB Leipzig will be hoping they can start climbing the table on Friday when they travel to take on Union Berlin.

Jesse Marsch’s side sit sixth in the league with 18 points and are winless in all six away games this season. They have one win in three outings following a 3-1 loss at home to Bayer Leverkusen.

Union Berlin are currently sixth with 20 points and have four wins from seven home games in the league. They come into the game with two wins from the last six after losing 2-1 against Eintracht Frankfurt.

In eight meetings, Leipzig have five wins while Union Berlin have two, including a 2-1 win the last time they faced.

The hosts are missing Kevin Behrans while Leipzig will be without Dani Olmo, Marcel Halstenberg, Manuel Saracchi, Youssef Poulsen, Willi Orban and Peter Gulacsi.

Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. EST. on Friday afternoon at Alte Foersterei. The game will be shown in Canada on Sportsnet World.
