Wolfsburg and Lille meet with everything to play for in Group G

Ten-man Wolfsburg battle to draw against Lille in UEFA Champions League opener | Bundesliga

With three points separating the four teams, Wolfsburg will be hoping they can climb off the bottom and qualify when they host Lille.

The Germans need a win to advance while anything less will see them eliminated. They have lost three games in a row after a 3-0 defeat to Mainz.

Lille sit at the top right now, but a loss will mean they are out. They are unbeaten in seven with four wins and three draws after a 2-1 win against Troyes.

The sides last met in September when they drew 0-0, and before that they faced in the Europa League in 2014 when they drew 1-1 before a 3-0 Wolfsburg win in France.

The hosts are missing Admir Mehmedi, Koen Casteels, William and Xaver Schlager, while Lille have no reported injuries.

Kickoff is at 3 p.m. EST. on Wednesday afternoon at the Volkswagen Arena. The game will be shown in Canada on DAZN.
