Liverpool hope to gain ground on leaders as they face Leeds

Liverpool will be hoping they can put some pressure on Manchester City on Boxing Day when they face Leeds United.

The Reds are second with 41 points and will take on Leicester City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

Leeds are down in 16th with 16 points and have lost three in a row following a 4-1 defeat at home to Arsenal.

In the last four meetings Liverpool have won three, with the last encounter coming at Elland Road when the Reds won 3-0.

The hosts are missing Divock Origi, Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara and Virgil van Dijk, while Jordan Henderson is doubtful and Andy Robertson is suspended.

Marcelo Bielsa will be without Rodrigo, Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk, Kalvin Phillips, Daniel James, Diego Llorente and Jack Harrison.

Kickoff is at 7:30 a.m. EST. on Sunday morning at Anfield. The game will be shown in Canada on DAZN.
