Spain host Switzerland in Nations League

Spain vs Switzerland Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Spain will be looking to get another win in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday when they host Switzerland.

La Roja are unbeaten in six games with three draws and three wins after a convincing 4-0 victory over Ukraine last time out, and will face Portugal on Wednesday in a friendly.

Switzerland didn’t get off to a great start in the group after losing to Ukraine, they picked up a point against Germany when they drew 1-1. They’ll take on Croatia in a friendly on Wednesday also.

The sides last met in an exhibition game back in 2018 which ended 1-1, and before that it was a famous 1-0 win for Switzerland in the World Cup in 2010.

Thiago Alcantara will miss out of the squad due to coronavirus, Fabian Ruiz was called up but has to quarantine and isn’t available, Jose Campana has been called into the squad for the first time, Adama Traore and Mikel Oyarzabal are back in the team after having to pull out last month. Luis Enrique has opted to go with Eric Garcia at the back instead of Gerard Pique.

There are no real surprises to the Switzerland team, but Kevin Mbabu and Albian Ajeti are set to miss out with injuries.

Kickoff is at 2:45 p.m. EDT. on Saturday afternoon at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium in Madrid. The game will be shown on UEFA TV.
